SISTERS, OR- Today, Deschutes County Commissioner and candidate for Oregon's 5th Congressional District, Patti Adair, condemned Congresswoman Janelle Bynum's vote against the National Fraud Enforcement Division Act of 2026. Commissioner Adair stated the following:

“You would think that voting to create a national fraud division within the Department of Justice would be a very easy yes vote. The vast majority of people are on board with bringing those who commit large-scale and systemic fraud schemes to justice. H.R. 9576, The National Fraud Enforcement Division Act of 2026, passed the House on Wednesday, September 16th with an overwhelming bipartisan majority. The final vote count was 352 yays to 72 nays. Once again, Janelle Bynum chose to side with the most extreme members of her party rather than reach across the aisle and do the right thing. Her extreme record is out of touch with Oregon’s 5th Congressional District, and I look forward to exposing her record when I debate her on October 14th.”
