SISTERS, OR— Deschutes County Commissioner Patti Adair, candidate for Oregon’s 5th Congressional District, declared victory in last night’s debate against Janelle Bynum. Commissioner Adair stated the following:

“Voters in the 5th District deserve better than declining quality of life and higher costs. Since Janelle Bynum has been in office, Oregon's business climate fell from 15th to 42nd, education from 22nd to 48th, and our economy from 15th to 48th. In response, Bynum continues to choose extremist policies and special interests over bipartisanship and problem-solving. I've spent eight years as a county commissioner delivering real results on budgeting, veterans' services, and homelessness. Last night I laid out how we can reverse that slide. After last night, it is clear why Bynum refuses to agree to additional debates. Because she knows she can’t defend her radical record of failure to voters.”
